Condemning the deportation of slain LTTE chief Prabhakaran’s ailing mother to Malaysia, MDMK chief Vaiko today said his party would launch a hunger strike in protest against the Centre’s action on April 22.
"Why was she (Parvati) deported when the Centre had already issued a visa to her? What was the necessity? It is not a humanitarian act," he said in a statement here.
The hunger strike would be under the leadership of Tamil Nationalist Movement leader P Nedumaran, Vaiko said.
