Actress Alphonsa on Monday met Greater Chennai Police Commissioner J K Tripathy and lodged a complaint against the parents and relatives of her boyfriend Vinod, who committed suicide at her apartment last month.
Talking to journalists later, she denied allegations of Vinod’s parents that she and her family had "killed" him and "camouflaged" it as suicide. "This is a baseless and false allegation. We have been living together happily for the past two years," she said.
Alphonsa alleged that her deceased boyfriend’s father is threatening to kidnap her five-year old daughter and kill her. "Also he has been threatening me demanding Rs 50 lakh," Alphonsa said with a teary eye.
Vinod committed suicide at Alphonsa’s flat at Saligramam in Chennai on March 4. Following this, the actress reportedly attempted suicide by taking sleeping pills. She has also filed an anticipatory bail petition in the court, over the issue.
