The eagerly-awaited IPL 2012 is here, and its star line-up of performances for the opening ceremony, being held in Chennai today (3rd April), is sure to take the country by storm.
The highlight of the opening ceremony will be a live act by the internationally acclaimed Colonial Cousins, singer-composer duo Lesle Lewis and Hariharan, who will be performing a new single from their yet to be released album – ‘Colonial Cousins Once More’. In their distinctive style, they will be a part of the flag off to the upcoming IPL season in a league of their own.
Lesle Lewis says, "We are very excited to be a part of this opening extravaganza and hope the audiences love the song just as much as we will enjoy performing it. It will give us an opportunity to connect with audiences across the country all at one time."
The IPL 2012 inaugural ceremony, to be held in YMCA Ground, will have a very starry performances by – Amitabh Bachchan, who although won’t much shake a leg but has some exciting surprises stored up his sleeves, Prabhu Deva – the dancing talent house from Chennai is expected to provide some great moves on the glittering stage as welcome treat to cricketers and cricket buffs to his hometown, B-town hotties Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor are going to add glamour and shine with their sizzling tumkas and jhatkas, international singer Katy Perry will top up the whole affair with her pop magic…. And last but not the least, the most anticipated performer – ‘Dabangg’ super star Salman Khan, who is said to be quite ‘Ready’ for the gala, grand affair, with his macho "dhinka chika" style….
