‘Political interference’ feared in UK tourist murder case
Khuram Shaikh, 32, was on holiday from his work as a Red Cross physiotherapist in Gaza when he was brutally murdered at a resort hotel.
All eight suspects have been released on bail with no date listed for the trial. The chief suspect, a well-connected Sri Lankan local government politician, has returned to work.
Khuram’s brother, Nasser, and Matt Baker, a parliamentary aide to Khuram’s MP, Simon Danczuk, spoke to BBC Breakfast about the case.
